Growing up, whenever there was water around, my maman would go for what we called « the polar bears » meaning first thing you’d do when waking up was take a dip, usually in cold water. I guess how we are raised will always affect the way we live, because here’s me, years later, spending 10 minutes in snowmelt water. Never felt more alive! Thanks @iceman_hof for inspiring the whole world to go along with it ❄️
Wouldn’t want to be on the roof of Europe with anyone else! We brought @birkkensen for his first 4000m peak, but turns out he wanted to go straight to the highest one around! Fine by us, the view doesn’t get old up here.
Quick recap after months away from most social media: Planet Mars hikes in Tenerife with @moroetienne & @evelyneblouin, eating mud in England (no surprise there) while catching the mountain biking bug again (my wallet is not going to like me...) and going to sand down our finger skin on Finale’s limestone walls, wild camping in caves and getting dreadlocks by the ocean. I would say, interseason accomplished ✔️😁
Woops! We just looked at each other, made the math in our heads and realized a bit late that we’ve now been together four years! 💕 Mike, my n.1 adventure and life partner, looking down into the Trappier couloir last week.
Skate & run 2019 ❄️ 16km of skating and 12km of trail running. My goal was to get on the podium, but that goal seemed so far when I finished my skate with one of my best times ever and still started the run in 4th place. I ended up pushing harder than I ever have before...and it payed off! I placed 2nd and really amazed myself with how hard I can go with the right motivation. Thanks to my support team @swirishninja and Mike 😘 Until next year 💪
Girls who shred ⛷
Women are scarce in mountain towns, so it was with great pleasure that I got to spend some time skiing couloirs and powder with @johanna.stalnacke
Time to rest the legs then go again!
